The ULEB has completed the list of 42 participants that will take part in the third edition of the ULEB Cup. The missing team in Group G has been confirmed and it will be Benfica Lisbon of Portugal. After studying several other options, the ULEB decided to choose the Benfica. The Portuguese League will then have two representatives in the ULEB Cup as, together with Benfica, Ovarense Aerosoles is already in Group E. Therefore, the six teams in Group G will be: Idea Slask Wroclaw of Poland, Lietuvos rytas of Lithuania, Pompea Napoli of Italy, Red Star Belgrade of Serbia and Montenegro, Telekom Bonn of Germany and Benfica of Portugal. The first ULEB Cup appearance of Benfica will be at home against Telekom Bonn on November 9.
