Benfica trainer Giovanni Trapattoni could make Inter Milan striker Mohammad Kallon his first signing since his appointment.
The Sierra Leone international is prepared to leave Inter after holding talks with sports director Marco Branca last week over his prospects at the San Siro this season.
Trapattoni is keen to land Kallon in a permanent deal, but will face competition from Lazio which are also chasing the African goal scorer.
