Van der Meyde confirms Inter exit By European Football - June 18 2005 Van der Meyde confirms Inter exit Newcastle United and Everton have both being alerted by Andy van der Meyde, of his intention to leave Inter Milan, stating: "They've told me that I am not part of their future plans and for me there isn't a place in the team. "They have also shown me some solutions. But nothing has been decided." He had stated as far back as Christmas that he would consider a move to Newcastle United and there have been rumblings about it in the Italian press for some weeks. But that same press feel he would prefer a move to Everton and Champions League football. Both Everton and Newcastle are still locked in battle over another Inter midfielder Emre, in this one however the Italian press firmly feel Newcastle have the upper hand.
